Maybelline New York comenzó siendo una pequeña empresa familiar, no obstante, hoy en día es la marca cosmética líder en Estados Unidos. Acuna por una mujer actual, moderna, creativa y segura de sí misma.

Fue un joven americano de 19 años quien creó la marca en el año 1915. El primer producto que desarrolló se le ocurrió después de ver a su hermana utilizando una mezcla de vaselina y carbón que daba a sus pestañas un color más oscuro. Llamó a la marca Maybelline en honor a su hermana, Mabel, por haberle dado la idea.

En 1991 utilizaron por primera vez su famoso eslogan: ”esta en tí. Está en Maybelline”. Cinco años después, en el año 1995, el gigante francés L’Oréal adquirió la empresa.

Maybelline New York es el maquillador oficial del sponsor de Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week que se celebra en el Lincoln Center de Nueva York todos los años. Ver página oficial de Maybelline New York
